Castle of Intrigue, Epic Piano Duet, 1 Piano - 4 Hands. Intermediate
Castle of Intrigue
This Duet was commissioned by the Odessa MTA to be performed at the TMTA 2025 Conference. They asked for something dramatic and epic, but with moments of tenderness. They absolute love the Castle Tales series and wondered if I could turn their favorite solos into duets. Here is the result.
The Duet begins with The Chase is On. Fast and Intense, with the melody focus on Secondo. Primo holds down the foundation with triplet ostinatos to add interest and color. The duet then transitions to Secrets in the Shadows, giving the Primo part a sparkling melody that shines above the Secondo. The last section of this duet is Night Flight: a bold, dramatic end to our Medieval saga. More opportunities for the melody in the Secondo part and don't miss the lyrical section that rises to an epic climax!
This duet is definitely a dramatic showstopper! Your teens will love it!
