Jingle Bells, Easy Piano Solo, Inspired by my Lead Sheet Method Book

$3.00

Jingle Bells

Short & Sweet! Folks love to sing along with this one, so if you need to, feel free to repeat from the beginning. Use the last 4 measures as an optional Introduction or transition between repeats.

This arrangement is inspired by my Method Book - 20 Favorite Christmas Songs: How to Play Lead Sheets. Let’s get started! This is the first carol I use in the book, to teach you how to play Lead Sheets. Here, we learn what a chord symbol is, and how to identify it. This arrangement of Jingle Bells, only uses the Root note, or the name of the chord. Both hand always stay in C position. It’s an ideal place to start!

Bonus - Look at other Lead Sheets and find the chords - can you find the Root notes and use that for your Left Hand?

Teaching Suggestion: What other patterns might work well with this melody? Repeated Blocked Octaves in quarter notes? 1 - 5 -8? Encourage your student to brainstorm possibilities.

Key: C Major

Time signature: 4/4. BPM = 120

Skill development: Left hand pattern as taught in my Method Book - 20 Favorite Christmas Songs: How to Play Lead Sheets. Study this arrangement to see how many other patterns I use, as well as: identify the chord symbols, what other chord tones are included? Find the chord symbol. Identify what the Root note is (same as the letter name) , create your own Left Hand part. Reading easy notation.

Level: Easy Piano, Elementary

How long: 16 - 20 with optional repeat, measures. 1 Page. :45 minute performance time.

This is a Single License: One purchase - One copy. Thank for honoring the composer’s work by not sharing with anyone. Encourage them to purchase their own copy please!
