Ding Dong, Merrily on High, Piano Solo Arrangement, Intermediate

$5.00

Ding Dong, Merrily on High

This wonderful Christmas classic is a timeless favorite!

This arrangement is inspired by my Method Book - 20 Favorite Christmas Songs: How to Play Lead Sheets. In the book, I use this carol to teach about playing Octave patterns and slash chords. The tempo marking is “Playful” because when I wrote this one, I pretended to a Baroque composer! Or maybe a Disco bass player, since both styles heavily feature Left hand Octave jumps!

Key: G Major

Time signature: 4/4. BPM = 152

Skill development: Left hand pattern as taught in my Method Book - 20 Favorite Christmas Songs: How to Play Lead Sheets. Study this arrangement to see how many other patterns I use, as well as: identify the chord symbols, what other chord tones are included? Left hand staccato Octave jumps, Right hand legato playing, scale like passages, playful!

Level: Intermediate to Advanced.

How long: 58 measures. 3 Pages. 2 minutes performance time.

This is a Single License: One purchase - One copy. Thank for honoring the composer’s work by not sharing with anyone. Encourage them to purchase their own copy please!
